[ARCHIVED] Branigan Library Hosts Author Andrew Knoll

Andrew Knoll

The Readers of the Purple Sage Book Club of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library invites you to a talk by Andrew Knoll, author of A Brief History of Earth: four billion years in eight chapters. The Zoom presentation will take place from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. MDT on Thursday, July 15, 2021. The event is free and open to the public.

The story of our home planet and the organisms spread across its surface is far more spectacular than any Hollywood blockbuster--filled with enough plot twists to rival a bestselling thriller. Drawing on his decades of field research and up-to-the-minute understanding of the latest science, renowned Harvard geologist Andrew H. Knoll delivers an accessible and enthralling biography of Earth. Placing twenty-first-century climate change in deep context, A Brief History of Earth is an indispensable look at where we’ve been and where we’re going.
