The Readers of the Purple Sage Book Club of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library invites residents to a talk by Andrew Knoll, author of A Brief History of Earth: four billion years in eight chapters.
The Zoom presentation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. MDT Thursday, July 15, 2021. The event is free.
The story of our home planet and the organisms spread across its surface is far more spectacular than any Hollywood blockbuster -- filled with enough plot twists to rival a bestselling thriller. Drawing on his decades of field research and up-to-the-minute understanding of the latest science, Knoll, a renowned Harvard geologist, delivers an accessible and enthralling biography of Earth. Placing 21st century climate change in deep context, A Brief History of Earth is an indispensable look at where we’ve been and where we’re going.
