A water outage is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2021 to enable Caliper Construction to make water utility improvements.

Businesses and residents at the following locations will be affected.

  • Rocky Acres Road, from Stern Drive to the West end.
  • Pebble Brook Drive, from the North end to south of the cul-de-sac.
  • Creek Stone Court, from north of the cul-de-sac to south of the cul-de-sac.
  • Ringneck Drive, from Biset Dove Street to east of the cul-de-sac and Stern Drive.

The water outage will be in City Council District 2.

Adjacent areas may also be affected by the outage. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, city crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

Once service is restored, residents could notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, city officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.

The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all cold water and exterior faucets in the house for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the Las Cruces Utilities at 526-0500 for assistance.

For information, contact the Public Works Department, Construction Management at 575/528-3098. The TTY number is 575/541-2182. For after-hours assistance, call Utility Dispatch at 575/526-0500.
