[ARCHIVED] Call for Volunteers for Team Up to Clean Up District 4 Event

Truckload of Furniture

Volunteers are needed! Get rid of weeds, trash, junk, graffiti and other debris in your neighborhood the Team Up to Clean Up way!

The Parks & Recreation Department Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) will conduct its next Team Up to Clean Up event from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 31, in City Council District 4, represented by Councilor Johana Bencomo. Two roll-off containers, provided by Las Cruces Utilities Solid Waste, will be available; one at Henry Benavidez Community Center, 1045 McClure Road and the second at La Llorona Park, 3440 W. Picacho Ave., for District 4 residents to utilize during event hours only.

Keep Las Cruces Beautiful and Las Cruces Police Department Codes Enforcement will also have supply stations at both locations. They will provide equipment and supplies, specific clean up locations, and any additional information. Recruit neighbors and friends to join efforts to maintain property beginning where you live. Anyone living in City Council District 4 can contribute to the City’s beautification by joining KLCB to help clean up their neighborhood!

More than 3 tons of trash was collected during a recent Team Up to Clean Up event in June.
