New Mexico author and performer Lynn C. Miller will talk about her fourth book, The Unmasking, at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 22.
Published in 2020, The Unmasking interweaves mystery, women’s history, and academic satire. Several female professors journey from “Austin University” to Silver City, NM, to perform at a festival. They depict famous women from history: Gertrude Stein, Edith Wharton, Virginia Woolf, Mabel Dodge Luhan, and Victoria Woodhull. Hanging over them is the suspicious death of their college dean, an event they conclude was a murder.
Miller has performed the lives of women in history at festivals and universities throughout the US. She will speak about her book and her experiences as a performer.
