[ARCHIVED] Teen Connection - Fall After School Program

Teen Connection Program

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department Teen Connection program will begin its After School registration on Wednesday, July 28.  The program is free, and limited spaces are available and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Program start date is Monday, August 9, 2021 and will serve students grades 6 – 12 and is located at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave. Program hours of operation will be Monday – Friday, 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. and will follow the LCPS calendar, with some special events for teens happening on specific Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Programming will consist of homework assistance, recreation, art activities, guest speakers, and age-appropriate enrichment opportunities in a safe & constructive environment.

Transportation to the Teen Connection program will be provided from the following locations: 

  • Sierra Middle School
  • Zia Middle School

Pick up from program is the responsibility of the parent and/or guardian.

You can register online at www.las-cruces.org/play (click on the online registration link), or at the following locations during regular business hours:

  • Parks and Recreation Administration Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St., Monday – Friday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants that register will be provided program information prior to first day of program.
