- 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 17: Las Cruces Home Builders Association Event Hall, 2825 N. Main St. This event features a panel discussion with community social service agencies.
“In light of the horrific violence in and around the Apodaca Park area, it’s important to have open conversations about them,” Councilor Gandara said. “I invite the public to provide input and hear from our legislators, judicial representatives and community organizations as we work together to understand the root causes of such violence and how we can work together to address them.”
Gandara also explained the panel discussions are available to help community members better understand public safety, judicial and legal systems, and resources available to the community. The events also provide attendees an opportunity to share their views and concerns with invited officials and agency representatives.
These discussions will be conducted in person. People are encouraged to wear face masks if they believe it is in their best interest. Anyone with questions about the series is encouraged to email the City of Las Cruces at email@example.com or call 575/541-2192.
