Las Crucens have a new way to stay connected about the policies and programming that will impact them and their families thanks to “Las Cruces Responde,” a new bilingual Podcast launched by the City of Las Cruces.
The inaugural episode features the impact of the legalization of recreational cannabis in New Mexico, covering the public input opportunities that the City will offer before implementing regulations on the zoning and hours of operation of the new industry.
“The purpose of the podcast is to provide our community members with an additional resource of information from the City,” said Jamey Rickman, Community Engagement manager. "Our goal is to connect with members of the community in every corner of Las Cruces.”
Las Cruces Responde is available to listen on Apple Podcast (iTunes), Spotify, Google Podcast, Breaker, other popular podcast apps, and at the City’s website las-cruces.org.
New episodes will be available every two weeks and are less than 20 minutes each. Future topics will include space tourism, traffic frustration, and many others.
“We hope that listeners will find the topics we cover on the podcast to be useful and encourage the community to stay involved with the City by tuning in,” Rickman said.
