Note: As a partner with the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), the City of Las Cruces is sharing this information with residents.
NMDOT, with Mountain States Constructors, Inc. will begin a nightly milling and paving project on Sunday, August 1 along a portion of Lohman Avenue that crosses over Interstate 25. The improvement project on Lohman Avenue will span from south Telshor Boulevard to Walton Boulevard.
The roadwork is expected to take two weeks to complete. During that time, motorists can expect nightly closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. along the affected portion of Lohman Avenue.
On- and off ramps will be closed, as needed, as outside lanes are paved. Additionally, if needed, law enforcement will be called to assist with the closure. Motorists will not be able to use the ramps once they are closed.
The NMDOT appreciates motorists’ patience. Motorists are urged to use caution in the work area and should obey the posted speed limit and drive safely.
