The Las Cruces police and fire departments hosted National Night Out on Tuesday, August 3 on Main Street Downtown.
Photos from the event can be seen on the City's Facebook page.
National Night Out was free to the public. The event provided residents an evening to meet neighbors and area first responders. The event was kid-friendly with many giveaways and one-on-one interaction with first responders and organizations from throughout southern New Mexico.
Several area law enforcement agencies, first responders, organizations and businesses participated in National Night Out. The Las Cruces Police Department hosted a free Ident-A-Child program. Codes Enforcement personnel had a bicycle rodeo for youngsters and the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department also had a display.
National Night Out is conducted the first Tuesday in August every year in communities across the U.S.
