[ARCHIVED] Public Encouraged to Attend Campo Street Study Follow-Up Meeting

Campo Street

The City of Las Cruces and Molzen-Corbin will conduct a follow-up virtual public input meeting on the Campo Street Study at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021.

This will be the final follow-up meeting to a presentation on April 29, 2021, when design concepts for the Campo Street corridor were introduced.

The project area is bounded by east Picacho Avenue and Spruce Avenue to the north, and Amador Avenue to the south The proposed project is in City Council District 1.

Campo Street is a transition corridor where the Mesquite Historic District meets Downtown Las Cruces. This poses unique and challenging opportunities to blend the two distinct characters of each district into a single corridor.

The meeting on August 19 will present concepts from community members to help create a corridor that could incorporate all modes of transportation while providing a seamless transition from the Mesquite Historic District to Downtown, ensuring public health, safety, and welfare for all users.

The meeting will be virtually conducted on Zoom. Access to the meeting will be available to the public at https://www.las-cruces.org/215/Community-Engagement-Office. Anyone who wants to participate in the meeting must be a registered user of Zoom before they can sign up to attend the meeting.

Instructions about how to become a registered Zoom user are included on the Community Engagement Office web page. Upon becoming a registered user of Zoom, click on the meeting titled Campo Street Reconstruction Follow-Up Meeting.
