There will be a road closure on Avenida Del Sol between Reynolds Drive and Cortez Drive starting on Monday, August 23, 2021, and it is anticipated to be in effect until October 28, 2021, depending on weather conditions. The utility and road work will be done as part of the Las Cruces Utilities Hacienda Acres, Phase II Sewer Improvement project. Motorists wanting to avoid any possible delays should seek an alternative route. Access to residences will be maintained during the construction. For the public’s convenience, crews will work only Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. leaving the evenings free of construction activity.
The road closure will not affect the RoadRUNNER Transit route. The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time. The work activity is in City Council District No. 6.
