Palm Avenue will be closed from N. Mesquite Street to N. Tornillo Street starting August 20 for work as part of the City of Las Cruces 2020-2021 Pavement Replacement Project. The work will include new ADA ramps and removal of existing asphalt and installation of new asphalt. This work is anticipated to take eight days to complete. During construction, access to Palm Ave. will not be permitted to through traffic. Detours and signage will be present directing traffic around the work zone. Motorists wishing to avoid possible delays are encouraged to seek alternative routes.
RoadRUNNER Transit Route routes will not be affected. This work is being done in Council District #1.
