2021 Fall Youth Cheer Program

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will offer individual registration for the upcoming 2021 Fall Youth Cheer Program on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave.
This FUNdamental recreational program has been developed with the health, wellness, and safety of participants and staff in mind. Participants, coaches and spectators will be required to follow COVID-19 Safety Guidelines, which includes wearing a form-fitting face mask.
The program will focus on self-esteem, social skills, positive peer relationships, jumps, stunts, cheers and will have an end-of-the program performance for parents and family. The program will be available to all children ages 5 to 10.
Instruction will be offered twice a week beginning the week of October 4, 2021. Spots are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
In-person registration: Will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, September 13 at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave. The cost is $45 per individual and is due at registration. The registration fee will include a cheer jersey and poms. The registration fee for returning participants not needing a jersey is $35. Parents or guardians will need to fill out an annual participant waiver, permission forms and provide proof of the child’s age (a birth certificate).

  • Children must be a minimum of 5-years old by Aug. 1, 2021 to participate.
