The Las Cruces International Airport, 8990 Zia Boulevard, will welcome Wings n Wheels ‘Fest 2021 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021.
The aviation event is free to the public.
Wings n Wheels ‘Fest 2021 will have a wide variety of airplanes, helicopters, and other aircraft on display along with vintage and classic cars and hot rods. There will be dozens of aircraft and aerospace exhibitors, family-friendly activities, and food trucks too! Children and teens ages 8 to 18 can sign up to experience their first flight with Young Eagles pilots.
Wings n Wheels welcomes the B-25J Mitchell “Maid in the Shade” and her pilots and crew. This B-25 was built in early 1944. She is very rare – one of 34 B-25Js still flying. More information is available at https://commemorativeairforce.org/aircraft/4.

Wings n Wheels ‘Fest 2021 is a fundraiser for the Experimental Aircraft Association local Chapter-555 Youth Aviation Scholarship program, which benefits young people in the Mesilla Valley and surrounding area. Chapter 555, “the Triple Nickel,” is a 501-c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to introduce young people to exciting aviation opportunities. The Chapter has given first flights to more than 3,700 young people in southern New Mexico.
The airport is only 10 minutes from downtown Las Cruces. Take Interstate 10 west to Exit 132 and turn right toward the yellow water tower.
There is no charge to attend. Join aviators from across the U.S. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 to celebrate American Aviation and Aerospace in Las Cruces!
