The City of Las Cruces and the City Art Board invites the community to the dedication ceremony of “Endless Passage,” the newest public art sculpture recently installed in the City Hall lobby.
The ceremony will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 5 at City Hall, 700 N. Main St. Masks are required per the current state public health mandate.
“Endless Passage” was created by tile artist Debbie Dickinson. The artwork was inspired by Las Cruces’ and the Mesilla Valley’s long history of being an intersection where travelers pass through.
Abstract elements reference the Camino Real, the connection of earth, sky, mountains, and the people through time and distance and the Circle of Life among other interesting compositions. The artist used tiles of various textures and colors to create her vibrant art piece.
