Las Cruces-Dona Ana County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that helps identify a man who tried using a stolen bank card at a convenience store on Sept. 11.

Las Cruces police learned that a vehicle parked near the batting cages at Hadley Park, on the evening of Sept. 11, was burglarized. One of the items taken was a bank card that was used a short time later at the Circle K store on El Paseo Road. The card was denied and the man who tried using it left the store’s parking lot in a dark color minivan.

Investigators obtained a surveillance photo of the suspect and are hopeful someone in the community will be able to identify him.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspect is asked to call Las Cruces-Dona Ana County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477. Tips can also be provided through the Las Cruces Crime Stoppers app, “P3 TIPS.” The app is available through the App Store on most devices. Those who provide tips through Crime Stoppers do not have to leave their own name and will remain completely anonymous.
