10x25 Creativity Conference

The inaugural 10x25 Creativity Conference, a regional opportunity for artists, creators, innovators, educators and entrepreneurs, will be Oct. 14 and 15, 2021 at the Las Cruces Convention Center, 680 E. University Ave.

The two-day conference is a coordinated venture between Doña Ana Community College, New Mexico State University, and the City of Las Cruces. The conference is a regional summit that will focus on the intersection between Creativity and Innovation.

The event will bring together artists, innovators, educators, and entrepreneurs, and also seeks to attract the business community at large, industry leaders, policy makers, regional government and workforce development stakeholders with a goal of inspiring the border community. Their market is the world.

The conference will include experiential tracks in education, entrepreneurship, innovation and film and media arts. The event will also be a regional networking opportunity for participants.

Mayor Ken Miyagishima, will kick off the event with a welcome address, at 9 a.m. October 14, to attendees who all have strong ties to the region. City Manager Ifo Pili will be a featured presenter who will participate in a panel discussion at 10 a.m. October 14 about regional economic development and Las Cruces’ excellent track record in attracting new industries.

Additionally, Elizabeth Teeters, Business Development Administrator for the City’s Economic Development Department will participate in a panel discussion at 11 a.m. October 15 that focuses on upcoming economic development projects and recent advancements in southern New Mexico’s growing film industry.
