There will be a little something for everyone at the first-ever City Council District 2 Fiesta, open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, October 9 at Tony Gomez Park, 2283 S. Espina St.
The event will be jointly hosted by City Councilor Tessa Abeyta-Stuve and the City of Las Cruces. The fun-filled event features games, activities, interactive displays, giveaways and much more.
You will get to talk first-hand with City employees about museums, library services and programs, public artwork, senior programs, volunteering, storm water displays, water conservation, and many other areas. Children will be able to get their own IDs through the Ident-A-Child service, and people can talk to Codes Enforcement and Animal Control officers in person. The Las Cruces Police Department also will host its Mobile Operation Command Unit.
“Our Fiesta will give all residents an opportunity to have some fun, get to know one and other, and give feedback on what they are experiencing in their neighborhoods,” Councilor Abeyta-Stuve said.
The City of Las Cruces continues to observe the New Mexico Department of Health public health orders in place at least through Oct. 15, 2021 at all city events. While masks are not required out of doors, attendees should maintain COVID-safe distances and wear masks if they feel they need to.
