At City Hall, early voting will be conducted in the lobby.

Las Cruces’ municipal elections will include races for City Council districts 3, 5 and 6. Las Cruces residents will elect City Councilors using Ranked Choice Voting where more than two candidates are running. With Ranked Choice Voting, voters will get to rank the candidates from favorite to least favorite. For a candidate to win, they must receive a majority of the vote, 50 percent plus one. If a candidate gets a majority of first preference votes, they win. If no candidate gets a majority of first preference votes, the candidate with the fewest first preference votes is eliminated. Voters who picked that candidate as the first choice would have their second preference vote count.

Information about Ranked Choice Voting can be found at Ranked Choice Voting Election FAQ.

Election Day will be from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. November 2. Forty voting convenience centers will be utilized throughout Doña Ana County. Click this link for a complete list of all voting convenience centers.

For information, call the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office, at 575/647-7428, or go online at www.dacelections.com.
