Las Cruces Utilities’ (LCU) Jeff Dillard is a man on a mission, his task which he eagerly accepts is to educate LCU customers on the benefits of UtilityHawk. What is UtilityHawk you ask? UtilityHawk, launched in April 2021, is LCU’s web portal that allows customers to manage their water and natural gas usage. “UtilityHawk is an amazing tool. It’s free to all LCU customers, it allows customers to manage their account and helps prevent a sudden spike in their monthly utility bill,” said LCU Business Systems Analyst Jeff Dillard.
UtilityHawk is getting noticed by LCU customers with registrations increasing each week. Jeff hears the compliments at the public events he attends such as National Night Out. “Customers are pleased with UtilityHawk after they start using it,” said Dillard.
If you are not already using the free service, visit LCUtilityHawk.com and register. By registering you will have access to your LCU account information 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. That’s because UtilityHawk turns “Big Data” into information that is useful by setting usage alerts, plus viewing, and paying your bill. The web portal is also bilingual, so you can set your language preference to English or Spanish.
As with all things digital, UtilityHawk evolves. The user friendly web portal continues to find ways to make life easier for LCU customers by taking away the worry factor in paying the monthly bills. “If you’re on a budget, or if you get paid every week, every two weeks or once a month, you can set up your debit card or checking account to deduct an amount you specify, as well as how often that should occur. Then your payment automatically goes to LCU, making it easier to keep your account in good standing. Depending on those details, it is even possible to build up some extra credit each month,” said Dillard.
UtilityHawk’s main goal is to be a convenient tool for customers, whether in paying their monthly utility bill or monitoring their usage. For example, you can choose to set a goal of using 5,000 gallons of water a month. Checking UtilityHawk halfway through the month you might notice you’ve already used 3,000 gallons. A simple adjustment of your water use will keep you from going over your self-imposed limit. “By checking UtilityHawk once or twice a week, LCU customers are going to catch anything that will raise their monthly bill and avoid having a big shock at the end of the month,” said Dillard.
LCU UtilityHawk is free for every account holder and the best way to register is by visiting LCUtilityHawk.com today on your mobile phone, laptop, desktop, or tablet.
