[ARCHIVED] Fire Station 3 Courtesy Noise Notice for Traffic Control Lane Closure

Orange barrels on street

A new fire station is currently being constructed in City Council District 4 as part of the City's General Obligation (GO) Bond Projects to replace the Fire Station 3 building.

From Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, through Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, contractors will close one lane at each side of the median at the 300 block of north Valley Drive. A traffic control plan will be implemented with appropriate road signs showing the construction zone, reduction of the speed limit, barrel barriers, and flashing lighted arrows will be present. The City is offering residents and businesses in the area a courtesy notice that there may be additional traffic due to the reduction of lanes.

Traffic will be impacted due to the median work. But there will not be any noise outside of the working hours from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Access to businesses and residence will always be maintained.
