[ARCHIVED] No COVID-19 Update Press Conference Wednesday, January 12

The regularly scheduled New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) press conference will not be held this week.

However, David R. Scrase, M.D., Acting Cabinet Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Health; Laura Parajon, M.D., Deputy Cabinet Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Health; and Christine Ross, M.D., NMDOH State Epidemiologist, will return to host the remote news conference next Wednesday, January 19, 2022, to provide an update on the state’s efforts to address COVID-19.

WHAT: COVID-19 and vaccine update with Q & A 

WHEN: Wednesday, January 19, at 2 PM MST

WHERE: The news conference will be streamed live on the: New Mexico Department of Health Facebook page. The news conference will also be
streamed with a Spanish language interpreter on Governor Michelle Lujan
Grisham’s YouTube page.

Following the presentation, members of the media will be able to participate remotely. If you’re a member of the media and would like the opportunity to ask questions, please RSVP to Jodi McGinnis Porter at jodi.mcginnis-porter@state.nm.us with your name and media affiliation.

If you have specific questions about the state’s epidemiological reports, please submit them to Jodi before 12pm on the day of the press conference. If you want to ask about a study elsewhere, please include the link so that we have the opportunity to review the study prior to addressing your inquiry.

After your RSVP is received, you will receive more information about how to participate. We will attempt to unmute the media individually for your questions. However, please be prepared to type your questions in the chat, in the event there are unexpected technical difficulties.
