[ARCHIVED] AMENDED: Spring 2022 Youth Sportsmanship Basketball Individual Participant Registration

Note: Adds date for 10-Younger, 11-Younger and 14-Younger registration.
 
 The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will offer the following individual registrations for the upcoming Spring 2022 Youth Sportsmanship Basketball League.
 
 There will be four age divisions offered to all genders between the ages of 4 and 11, and middle-school age divisions for boys and girls 14 and younger. Proof of a child’s age – a birth certificate – is required at registration.
 
The fee to participate is $45 for new players, which includes a game jersey, and $35 for returning players, which does not offer a jersey. Please refer to the age chart below for division placement.
 
League play will begin April 1, 2022. Space is limited, and registration is first come, first served.

  • Parents/guardians will be required to fill out a waiver, sign permission forms and participants will be required to have their photo taken prior to the start of the season.
  • All participants are required to play in their respective age division. Players will not be allowed to “play up” a division.


Formation of teams is under the discretion of Meerscheidt staff. Requesting placement onto specific teams will not be allowed. Only siblings may request to be on the same team if they both qualify for the same age division.
