[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Information on W. Madrid Road Shooting

At approximately 0650 hrs on Monday, January 17, Las Cruces Police Department Officers responded to a gunshot victim at an apartment on the 200 block of W. Madrid Rd. On arrival police officers contacted a male suffering a gunshot wound to his left thigh. Medical aid was rendered, and the male was transported to a local hospital and later released. Officers also contacted several other individuals at the apartment during the incident.

Through the investigation detectives learned that two male subjects forced entry into the apartment, made contact with the victim which resulting in a gunshot wound. The origin of the gunshot is still under investigation.

At this time Detectives are requesting witnesses or anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Las Cruces Police Department at (575) 526-0795.
