Las Cruces Utilities (LCU) customers should be aware that due to unforeseen staffing shortages LCU’s Customer Central will be temporarily operating at a 50-percent staffing level for approximately two weeks.
Due to the staffing shortage, wait times and the ability to handle emails, online and walk-in requests from LCU customers will be longer than usual at City Hall, 700 N. Main. St., and the East Mesa Customer Central location, 5195 Bataan Memorial West. To avoid longer wait times and delays, LCU customers are encouraged to use LCU’s website to make online utility bill payments.
Cash payments for utility bills also can be made at Check N Go, 400 N. Telshor Boulevard, Suite D; Lowes Fiesta Foods, No. 57, 2189 N. Main St.; Lowes Fiesta Foods, No. 58, 1410 E. Missouri Ave.; Mr. Payroll, 2240 Missouri Ave.; and Quick Check, 5245 Porter Drive. A $1 service fee will be added to the total bill when making utility payments with cash.
Utility bill payments also can be mailed to: City of Las Cruces, Finance/Cashier, P.O. Box 20000, Las Cruces, NM 88004-900. Also, after-hours utility bill payments can be deposited in a drop box located in the parking lot between City Hall and Thomas Branigan Memorial Library.
Las Cruces Utilities apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks customers for their understanding.
