Thomas Branigan Memorial Library and Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, at New Mexico State University, will present a program about heart health and deterioration of health prevention at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, on Zoom.
This program will be presented by Dr. Robert Goldsteen, Chair of the Division of Clinical Medicine & Professor of Clinical Medicine, Internal Medicine at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. The program is hosted by Branigan Library.
Dr. Goldsteen will talk about how health conditions like diabetes, smoking, and high cholesterol are used to assess the risk for future heart related problems. The discussion will include how doctors make recommendations to help lead to lifestyle change and reducing risks of future poor health.
Dr. Goldsteen also will talk about how patients and doctors can work together to improve the patient's health through realistic goal setting.
