Las Cruces Police Department Officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim near the 1300 block of Wolf Trail just after midnight on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Upon arrival, police officers contacted Anthony Juarez, (27) suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical aid was rendered by initial responding officers, and Juarez was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
On January 29, 2022, Rudy Garcia (34) was arrested and charged with one open count of murder; additional charges may follow.
