[ARCHIVED] Las Cruces Utilities to Begin Water Meter Changeouts on February 14

Water Meter

Some Las Cruces Utilities (LCU) customers will have their existing water meters replaced, as part of a changeout program, beginning Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, and continuing for about one week.

Approximately 150 customers throughout the City, all who have smaller water lines and older water meters, will be affected by the changeouts. Some customers’ water meters will be replaced by a third-party contractor.

Customers whose water meters will be replaced will be notified with a door hanger notice that City crews will place on the doors of residences and businesses at least 24 hours before the work is scheduled to begin.

This process will cause a short interruption in water services of about one hour. Las Cruces Utilities’ goal is to make this interruption as brief as possible.

For information, call Las Cruces Utilities Customer Central at 575/541-2111.
