[ARCHIVED] Kudos to Young Park's Maintenance Crew

Young Park Staff 2-16-22

To:  Young Park Maintenance Crew, Parks and Recreation Department

From:  Franco, Community Resident

Franco,

A member of the community came  into the Armando "Mondy" Castaneda  Service Center while I was there and  asked Admin staff if he could speak to who ever is in charge of Young Park.  I then introduced myself to him and let him know that I am the Parks Manager. He let me  know that he has lived in Las Cruces for over 40 years, and frequently visits Young Park. He stated that over the 40 years he has never seen the park as beautiful as it is now, the attention to detail in the landscaped areas, the upkeep of the trees, plants, and grass.  The restrooms are not dirty, and the park in general has a clean look to it.  He also let me know  the staff that clean and take care of the park are showing pride in what they do  there.  Also staff does an incredible job with all the litter.  He enjoys the fact that he can take his grandson to the park and use all the great equipment to play and the cleanliness of the shade structures, tables, and benches, and he would like to personally come to our office and let us know.
