[ARCHIVED] 2022 Spring Youth Cheer Program

Girls Cheer

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will be offering individual registration for the upcoming 2022 Spring Youth Cheer Program beginning Monday, March 14 at Meerscheidt Recreation Center (1600 E. Hadley Ave.). This FUNdamental recreational program will focus on self-esteem, social skills, positive peer relationships, jumps, stunts, cheers, with an opportunity to cheer at live youth basketball games. The program will be available to all genders ages 5 to 10. Instruction will be offered twice a week beginning the week of April 4, 2022. Spots are limited and are on a first come first served basis.

(In Person) Registration: Begins Monday, March 14 at Meerscheidt Recreation Center from noon to 8 p.m. The cost is $45 per individual, due at registration, which includes a cheer jersey and poms ($35 for returning participants not needing a jersey). Parents or guardians will need to fill out an annual participant waiver, permission forms and provide proof of child’s age (birth certificate).

  • Children must be a minimum of 5 years old by April 4, 2022 to participate.
