Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., will host a discussion group about The Great Courses video series “Great Tours: France through the Ages.”
This group will meet at 3:30 p.m. on the following dates: May 5, 2022; May 19, 2022, June 2, 2022, and June 16, 2022, in the library’s Conference Room, on the second floor.
“Great Tours: France through the Ages” covers the past, present, and future of Paris, exploring the castles, the wars, the beverage industry, and the art throughout the country of France.
In the first session, we will discuss the first half of the episodes, and in the third session, we will discuss the second half of the episodes. The second and fourth episodes will feature guest presenters.
The episodes can be found on the Kanopy streaming service, provided free by Branigan Library, at https://lascruces.kanopy.com/video/great-tours-france-through-ages. You can access the Kanopy streaming service with your library card.
If you would like to apply for a library card, you can do so if you reside in Doña Ana County, New Mexico with a valid photo ID, a current address, or a valid photo ID and a current proof of address, such as a utility bill or lease. New Mexico residents who live outside of Doña Ana County can receive a free library card with a valid photo ID, current proof of address, and a library card from where they live.
