The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science presents, “Desert Safety Workshop: Venomous Animals,” presented by Destry Kissick, Curator of Living Collections at the Museum of Nature & Science, at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Learn how to stay safe while enjoying the outdoors. Curator of Living Collections Destry Kissick will give insight on how you and your pets can stay safe when enjoying recreational activities in areas where venomous animals live. Learn the steps to take if you encounter a venomous animal, how to properly identify and safely avoid venomous animals, and the steps to take if you or your pet are bitten by a venomous animal.
Please note, there will be a preserved rattlesnake specimen present during the program.
