Teen Connection on Bikes

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will begin registration on Monday, May 9, 2022, for its Teen Connection Summer Program.

Limited spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Options are available for attending the program the entire summer or individual weeks.

Below is a list of themes for the teen summer program and their corresponding activities. Each week will include fun and engaging activities mixed in with activities geared toward the weekly theme.

Expertise from our partners such as New Mexico Army National Guard, Friends of the Organ Mountains, and a visit to Spaceport America will help enhance all aspects of this summer’s programing.

The Teen Connection program is free and serves youth who are in grades 6 to 12, and is at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave. The Teen Connection Summer Program hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, with some special activities for teens happening outside of regular hours and will be announced in advance.

Meals will be provided through the partnership with Families & Youth Innovations Plus and the Summer Food Services Program.

Here is a tentative schedule of the activities that will be taking place this summer:
