Weed and Seed Program

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department Weed and Seed program will begin registration for its Summer Program at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2022, and will continue registration until the number of participants is filled.
 
The program is free, and limited spaces are available and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. It will serve students in grades from kindergarten to fifth grade.
 
The program will be at A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St. and will consist of recreation, art activities, guest speakers, age-appropriate enrichment opportunities, and field trips in a safe, fun, and positive environment.
 
The program will begin Wednesday, June 1 and will continue to Friday, July 15. The program will meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and breakfast and lunch will be provided.
 
There will be no programming on Monday, June 20 and July 4 in observance of holidays.
 
Drop off and pick up to and from program is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
 
Registration for the program will be at the following location during regular business hours.
  

  • A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Participants will be provided program information prior to first day of program.
