[ARCHIVED] N. Almendra Structure Fire

Las Cruces Fire Department Badges

On Saturday, May 7, 2022, Las Cruces firefighters were called to the report of a fire in a residential structure on the 600 block of N. Almendra.
 
Firefighters arrived around 6:20 p.m. to find smoke and fire coming from the attic of the structure. Crews extinguished the fire through the gable vents and found fire throughout the entire attic space of the structure.
 
The fire was contained to the attic and no injures were reported. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes.
 
The cause of the fire is under investigation and the estimated damage value has not been determined.
