In continuation of our 2022 theatrical series, Blank Conversations is back at the Rio Grande Theatre May 19-22 with the witty comedy, Meteor Shower written by comedian Steve Martin.
The performance stars local actors Knut Eric Brekke as Norm, Jazmin Buchman as Corky, Reagan Szulc as Laura, and Chad Gonzalez as Gerald.
Corky and Norm are excited to host Gerald and Laura at their home in the valley outside Los Angeles to watch a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower. But as the stars come out and the conversation gets rolling, it becomes clear that Gerald and Laura might not be all that they appear to be. Over the course of a crazy, starlit dinner party, the wildly unexpected occurs. The couples begin to flirt and insanity reigns. Martin, using his trademark absurdist humor, bends the fluid nature of time and reality to create a surprising and unforgettably funny play.
Tickets are $15 online at RioGrandeTheatre.org or at the door day of the show with a student discount available at the door.
May 19-21: doors open at 6 p.m., play starts at 7 p.m.
May 22: doors open at 1 p.m., play starts at 2 p.m.
This is Blank Conversations' fourth production at the Rio Grande Theatre since July 2021. Singin’ in the Rain, the company’s previous production, was a huge success, selling over a thousand tickets and delighting audiences with actual rain on stage!
