Traffic signal upgrades at the intersection of south Main Street, El Paseo Road, and Alameda Boulevard will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 and are expected to be completed by 6 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022.
Motorists should be aware that intermittent lane closures may be necessary. Temporary stop signs will be installed at all four approaches while the work is being done as the traffic signal may be turned off.
Motorists are urged to use caution through the area or use an alternate route to avoid possible delays as the work could affect traffic along south Main, El Paseo and Alameda in all directions.
Surrounding businesses and residences will remain accessible. RoadRUNNER Transit routes will not be affected.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in the immediate area during this time. The work will take place in City Council district 4.
