Las Cruces Utilities (LCU) Mission: Providing reliable, safe, and cost-effective utility service to customers in the Las Cruces area.
The LCU Internship Program is a competitive program that awards Internships to students currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Water Technology, leading to a career in water and wastewater operations.
The City of Las Cruces Utilities Internship Program is offering:
- Payment of tuition and eligible fees.
- An annual payment for other reasonable educational costs.
- Biweekly stipends, for as long as two school years, to assist with living expenses while pursuing the Water Technology Degree. (20 hours of work during school, 40 hours of work during breaks — current starting rate of pay of $14.25 an hour, housing and meal plan).
- Full time employment after graduation in the Water Section, Wastewater Section, or the Water Quality Laboratory.
