A notice to proceed has been issued to a contractor to begin a project on June 6, 2022, at Lions Park Handball Courts, 701 W. Picacho Ave.
The project will include repairs and painting of the court walls and playing surface. The handball courts are located on the northwest corner of the park, just west of the tennis courts. During the project two courts will remain available for public use.
The park will remain open to the public during the project. Park visitors and handball players should adhere to project, hazard postings, and keep clear of identified project areas.
