[ARCHIVED] "American Impressionism" with Dr. Heather Stark

May Programs with the Las Cruces Museum of Art

The Museum of Art will host a guest lecture on Zoom at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, with Dr. Heather Stark, Ph. D., about “American Impressionism.”
 
This lecture accompanies the “American Impressionism: Treasures from the Daywood Collection” exhibition at the Museum of Art. The exhibition is on loan to the Museum of Art from the Huntington Museum of Art in West Virginia.

Dr. Stark is an Associate Professor of Art History in the School of Art and Design at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. The lecture will focus on the revolutionary impulses of the Impressionist movement, and how these ideas and forms were transmitted and expanded in the United States, with particular attention to painters represented in the Daywood Collection.
