[ARCHIVED] Tikes N' Spikes Youth Flag Football League Individual Participant Registration

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will be offering individual registration for the upcoming Youth Flag Football League.
 
There will be four age divisions offered to all genders between the ages of 4 and 11. Proof of a participant’s age – a birth certificate – will be required at registration and cost is $45 for new players, with a game jersey, and $35 for returning players, which does not include a jersey.
 
*Participants will be required to have a Parks & Recreation Activity ID card by August 8 to participate. League play will begin the week of Aug. 15, 2022. Space is limited, and registration is first come, first served.

Age Divisions are as follows:
6U Division – Participants born between January 2018 and September 2016.
8U Division – Participants born between January 2016 and September 2014.
10U Division – Participants born between January 2014 and September 2012.
11U Division – Participants born between January 2012 and September 2011.
 
*To obtain a Parks & Recreation Activity ID card, parents, or guardians, with the child, must appear in person at Meerscheidt Recreation Center to have the child’s photo taken, provide proof of the participant’s age and sign permission forms. Cards will be issued from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. ID cards will not be issued on registration days. 

  • Participants will be required to play in their respective age division and will not be allowed to “play up” a division.
  • Formation of teams is under the discretion of Meerscheidt staff.
  • Requesting placement onto specific teams will not be allowed. Siblings in the same household may be placed on the same team ONLY if they qualify for the same age division and sibling notification is recorded by Meerscheidt staff during registration.
  • Switching teams will not be allowed once teams have been formed and assigned to coaches.
