[ARCHIVED] City Juneteenth Holiday Schedule

City Hall and most City of Las Cruces offices will be closed Monday, June 20, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Police and fire services will not be affected.


The following is a list of closures:

  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center.
  • Juvenile Citation Program.
  • Meerscheidt Recreation Center.
  • East Mesa Recreation Center.
  • A. Fielder Safe Haven.
  • Frenger Pool.
  • Laabs and East Mesa outdoor pools.
  • Regional Aquatic Center.
  • Visit Las Cruces.
  • Rio Grande Theatre.
  • Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, Munson Center Library, Sage Cafe Library.
  • All museums.
  • All Senior Program Centers.


RoadRUNNER Transit will be open and will operate normal business hours, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.


Solid Waste will operate as usual for residential and commercial collections, and the Foothills Clean Landfill will be open.
