[ARCHIVED] Police Continue Investigation into Shooting

Las Cruces police are continuing to investigate Wednesday’s shooting that injured a 39-year-old man.
  
The victim, whose name will not be released by police, remains hospitalized and is in stable condition.
  
At approximately 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Las Cruces Police Department officers responded to a gunshot victim at an apartment at 1050 S. Triviz Dr.
  
Officers located a 39-year-old man who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Medical aid was rendered, and the victim was transported to a local hospital.
  
Officers have identified a person of interest and do not believe there is an ongoing danger to the public.
