The Las Cruces Police Department asks for the public’s help in locating a missing teenage boy who left his temporary place of residence sometime early Tuesday, July 5, 2022 and could be in danger if he is not located soon.
Malaki Lopez, 13, left his temporary placement between midnight and 8 a.m. July 5 from a residence in the 5400 block of Santa Cruz Avenue, on Las Cruces’ East Mesa. Lopez is in the custody of the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department and it is unknown where he would go.
Lopez was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans with blue crooks. He also was carrying a black backpack and a small blue duffle bag.
Lopez is 5-feet, 5-inches tall, and weighs approximately 130 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair, and medium skin tone.
