The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department has begun its recruitment for the Parks & Recreation Youth Board (PRYB).
The Board is youth-based, youth-led, and youth-driven, formed by students from throughout Las Cruces who are in grades 7 to 12 (2019-2020 school year). The Board will meet every month, and as needed, to tackle a range of social problems that concern them, from the economy and environment to safety, tobacco, alcohol and other topics of interest that affect our community.
Board members will also be involved with special functions, events, and other campaigns that will encourage other students to get engaged and make a positive difference. If you are a student or know someone who is interested in making a difference in their community, the PRYB is a great opportunity to be involved, make connections, and learn about making lasting change in our city.
