Come to the Las Cruces Railroad Museum, 351 N. Mesilla St., for a storybook reading, songs, and a craft. This activity is recommended for visitors 2-years old and older.
“Dino Train”
10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13
Come by the Railroad Museum for engaging gallery activities made just for kids! Become a conductor and control our new interactive model train: The Santa Fe Super Chief! Afterwards, play interactive games and test your knowledge. No registration required.
“Tales of the Rails”
11 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 13
With only the light of a candle, you are invited to listen in as we share suspenseful ghost/murder train stories! What will happen in such a short time? No registration is required. Short stories rotate every 15 to 30 minutes during program time. This activity is recommended for visitors 18-years old and older.
“S.T.E.A.M. Saturdays”
11 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 27
Join in as we learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math with hands-on experiments every month. Using creativity and brain power, build anything from sky gliders and spacecrafts to saving the ocean and more! This activity kit is recommended for visitors 10-years old and older. Admission to the museum and “S.T.E.A.M. Saturday” activity kits are free.
