As part of a water improvement project along the El Camino Real corridor, Chitamacha Road will have a temporary lane closure at the El Camino Real Road intersection for one day beginning Wednesday, April 3. El Camino Real Road will have a temporary south bound lane closure from Chitamacha Road to the storage facility for seven days beginning Thursday, April 4. A two-lane, two-way road will be in place.
For the public’s convenience, crews will work only from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday leaving the weekends free of construction activity. The temporary lane closure will not go into effect until after the morning rush hour and will be removed before the afternoon rush hour. The RoadRUNNER Transit has no route at Chitamacha Road and El Camino Real Road.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time. Access to the surrounding residents and businesses will be maintained by leaving the driveways accessible.
