[ARCHIVED] Burn Lake Shade Structure Project Begins

Burn Lake Shade Project

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department started the Burn Lake Shade Structure Project on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022.

The improvement project includes the installation of fencing and a vehicle gate at the southeast corner of the City park, 1855 W. Amador Ave.; installing two large shade structures with picnic tables; two small shade structures over existing picnic tables; the demolition of three old shade structures; and the construction of concrete pathways.

The contractor will make every effort to minimize impacts to park visitors. However, there will be on-going construction and areas of the park that will not be accessible until construction is complete.

Park visitors are urged to exercise caution near construction areas, to adhere to all postings, and to avoid crossing or removing any construction area barriers.

Due to the projected delivery time of materials for the project, it is expected to take as long as seven months to complete the project.

For questions, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 575/541-2550.
