Fiber line work will begin Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, for approximately two weeks, on University Avenue from east Union Avenue to south Main Street.
Work will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the two-week period. Motorists should be aware that shoulder work and temporary lane closures will be in effect along east University Avenue during this project.
Surrounding businesses will remain accessible. RoadRUNNER Transit routes will not be affected.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in the immediate area during this time. The work will be in City Council District 2.
Motorists are urged to use caution through the area or find and use an alternate route to avoid possible delays.
